Buying a plot or cabin
Are the plots ready to build on?
We have build-ready plots with roads, water, sewage, electricity and fibre to the plot boundary.

Can I choose my own cabin supplier?
You are free to choose your cabin supplier. We are not tied to a single supplier, but we have good partnership agreements you can use if you wish. For pre-designed cabins, we can put you in touch with the relevant supplier.
The area and activities
Is there a year-round road and snow clearing?
Yes. Furutangen has year-round road access, and roads are cleared throughout the winter season.
How long does it take from Oslo?
Allow three hours from Oslo until you park at your cabin, to be on the safe side. Furutangen lies midway between Rena to the west and Trysil to the east, approximately 40 minutes by car from each.
Where do I buy hunting and fishing permits?
Hunting and fishing permits for Furutangen are sold on inatur.no, which also lists the current rules and seasons.

Can I rent out my cabin?
Yes, you are free to rent out your cabin. If you wish, we can help with booking, bed linen and cleaning.

The online shop for special goods is planned to open around mid-November 2026. Find lift passes and hunting and fishing permits through our sales partners; check availability and seasons with them.

How do I get gate access?
As a cabin owner, you can control the gate or gates by phone or app. Furutangen Drift registers the phone numbers of authorised users.
