Who is responsible?
Furutangen is the data controller for information submitted through furutangen.no. Privacy questions can be sent to emil@hyttebasen.no.
What we receive
When you submit a plot, rental or contact enquiry, we store your name, phone number, email address, optional message and what the enquiry concerns. For rental enquiries, we also store the selected cabin, preferred dates and number of guests. We record which page the form was submitted from so that we can understand the request. We do not store the campaign source with messages from the contact form.
Visitor statistics
Optional visitor analytics with PostHog starts only after you allow analytics. We do not send names, emails, phone numbers, messages or lead IDs to PostHog. Submitted enquiries are counted in our own system. Campaign codes linked to an enquiry are personal data, not anonymous data.
Why we use it
The information is used to answer your enquiry, follow up interest in a plot or cabin and document what you were told and chose in the form. When you use the contact form, we process the details to answer your request before any agreement is made. This does not rely on consent, and you do not need to tick a box for it. You only receive news and offers by email if you tick the box for it. That consent is optional, and you can withdraw it at any time. We do not use the information for other purposes without a new legal basis.
Storage and deletion
Enquiries are stored in our contact system and may be sent as a notification to the responsible member of staff. We delete details from the contact form from our contact system when our dialogue or customer relationship no longer requires them. For other enquiries, we review and delete data when it is no longer needed for follow-up, documentation or legal requirements.
Your Rights
You can request access, correction, deletion or restriction, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Send requests to emil@hyttebasen.no. You also have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
